It will be 6 weeks since insertion and was given the mirena for endometriosis symptoms. The pain and symptoms I have now are actually worse than the endo symptoms. Before the mirena my periods were regular but extremely painful and would bleed light and would last 1-2 days. Whilst on mirena I have had a 6 day heavy, clotting painful period, severe bloating, swollen boobs, extreme pelvic pain, smelly discharge and what feels like a constant uti with frequent urination. Previous to this I was on Gederal 20/150 and only came off that because I was bloated and had constipation, but would go back on gederal in a heart beat as this is horrendous. I have my 8 wk check in 2 weeks but don’t know if I can last that long. My mood has been low but only because of how I’m feeling and sex is none existent, due to the pain.
