The IUS coil has really worked for me - it is low maintenance & can be kept in for a number of years. My periods (bleeding) have almost completely stopped which is a HUGE bonus, although I still experience bad cramps in-line with when my periods would be. Having been on hormonal contraception since I was in my teens (now 28), I couldn’t confidently say what the coil has/hasn’t had an impact on in terms of side-effects, however I feel much more myself on the coil than I ever did on the pill.
