Mercilon was the first pill I was put on as it is low dosage and I was worried about side effects. It was broadly fine for the first few weeks, except I noticed I was crying over seemingly little things. I decided to take it continuously and when my period would normally be due, I did get my period. Unfortunately it didn't stop for 3 weeks - until I got prescribed a different pill! I think this may have been because of the low dosage but it was quite unpleasant. Had cramps, but less bad than usual (I mainly went on the pill because of very painful cramps)
