I’ve been taking Marvelon for two years. During the first 6 months I experienced severe mood swings and occasional migraines (about once a month), however these subsided completely within a year. On the bright side, my acne cleared up and my periods were much shorter and less painful. Just beware of the mood swings because I had days where I was too depressed to get out of bed...maybe consider taking a mood stabilizer or antidepressant along with it for the first year, and have some strong painkillers on hand!
