I used to have mild acne when I was a teenager and a few weeks into taking the pill my skin cleared up completely! However, my periods cramps became a lot worse. I recently took at 3 month break from the pill as I had been on it for about 3 years and wanted to give my body a break from the hormones. Towards the end of the 3 years I noticed that the pill wasn’t as effective at keeping my skin clear as it used to be. I have gone back on it recently, it’s been a week, my mood swings are very intense and so far my skin has not cleared up again.
