After being taken off several pills, I switched over to the Kyleena as it had the most balanced side effects according to most users. After getting it, I experience quite extreme pelvic cramping every now and then, however it has nothing to do with my period - to the point that I thought I might have pelvic inflammatory disease. The coil is absolutely great in that I don't have to worry about it day to day and it is really convenient. Would recommend, but just be aware of the side effects. Also, if you decide to get one, make sure to ask the healthcare provider, e.g. nurse, to numb you down there. They will probably be more than happy to do so - they numbed me and I didn't feel a thing.
