Desogestrel pill - Prog-only Pill
For reference I have PCOS so any high androgen hormones will effect my PCOS symptoms. I went on desogesterol as I can’t have the combined pill. This pill was great in regards to no spotting/no periods, skin was fine, easy to take. However within a month my hair was falling out in clumps in the shower and when brushing my hair. Clumps and clumps! So I had to come off. I’ve been off it for 3 weeks and already my hair loss has dramatically reduced. I also found my hirsutism worsened on my face whilst on this pill. This pill only effected my mood because the hair loss & hirsutism were negatively affecting my mental health.

My hair loss has dramatically reduced which is amazing! I can’t comment on my hirsutism as I have started laser hair removal.
